I expect everyone to know about this legendary program but Im sure there are plenty of new Sims 3 players that dont…so I bring you the Sims 3 UIC program. What this does is change the preview image of your uploads so that when they appear on the exchange they look a lot nicer! Its way too easy to use so get going! DOWNLOAD

Empty and Cleaned-up Maxis Hoods

After playing TS2 for about 5 years I can safely say that I am SICK of the same old Townies always showing up in my game…there is no one new to meet and quite frankly they are all pretty ugly with no fashion sense. Over at MATY there are cleaned up hoods that you can download which have no townies or NPCs… You can easily just make your own either in CAS or on an empty lot and use the ‘insimenator’ to convert them to townies or NPCs! Other NPCs will be spawned by the game as needed (like when you hire a maid).

You have a choice to either download completely empty default hoods or ones that have the characters (i.e the Brokes, Goths) all living there as normal (including any townie sims they know).

I just restarted Pleasantview with all new Townies and OMG what a difference…bye bye Goopy forever! So get your cleaned up hoods here…. installation is easy!

Squinge over at Insimenator.org has one of the most comprehensive (and useful) hacks around. If your like me then you wont mind downloading a FEW bits of CC but you would rather keep most things Maxis. But we all know how limited the color choices can be so I have listed here 2 of the best places (that I know of) that have tonnes of Maxis recolors!!

Firstly TSR- Recolors by TabbyLou (all free). She does huge sets of recolors and covers almost all items in the game
